Grazie alla posizione favorevole e al clima mite Montreux è la perla del lago di Ginevra. Cuore della località è Montreux Ville. Da non perdere una passeggiata lungo la Riviera vaudoise. Sulla riva del lago si trova il casinò con piscina pubblica e parco.

I went to school here for a short while... the only girl in an all boys school... not bad right? I loved it; so beautiful. Relay races in the apple orchards, long hikes to the hazelnut trees and then above the treeline to the snow! My only negative, not just about Montreux but all of Switzerland is that it is too clean! Kicked and skipped my way to school one morning thru an ankle deep carpet of fallen leaves from the night before... bliss for a kid. On my walk home not one leaf was left on the street. Now, I think that is kinda poopy... still, all these years later!
Sorry, aber ich persönlich finde, dass Montreux überbewertet wird. Für meinen Geschmack ist es zu sehr verbaut und vor allem zu teuer. Wenn ich Besuch habe, gehe ich mit meinen Leuten lieber nach Vevey, das liegt auch direkt am See, hat eine herrliche Strandpromenade, sehr schöne Boutiquen, interessante Restaurants, eine schöne Altstadt, ist mit Bahn und Schiff erreichbar, also für jeden etwas, und es ist nicht so teuer. Ich wohne übrigens in den waadtländer Alpen, bin also häufig in Montreux.
