Arbotantes, gárgolas y pórticos: la famosa catedral de 800 años es una muestra impresionante de la arquitectura gótica.
Esta obra maestra del gótico fue levantada entre 1163 y 1345 por encargo del obispo Maurice de Sully. Especialmente impresionantes son los tres grandes pórticos de entrada, los imponentes arbotantes alrededor del coro y los rosetones.

Known for its beautiful stained glass Rosetta window, this cathedral is not to be missed. You can pay extra and mingle with the gargoyles at the bell tower (which was popularized by Victor Hugo in teh Hunchback of Notre Dam) or visit the vaults below the church. Admission is free.

Eine der Brücken die zu der kleinen Insel führt auf der sich Notre Dame befindet ist ganz berühmt für Verliebte. Pärchen hängen hier ein Schloss an das Brückengitter in das sie vorher ihre Initialen eingeprägt haben. Süß!
