A Drinking and Eating Tour of Logan Square

I'm from Chicago and a few of my best friends live in Logan Square. Whenever I come back to visit, we eat and go out in the neighborhood. These are my favorite spots, and I think that if you plan wisely, you could hit most of these places over the course of 24 hours. That is, if you don't pass out first.

Get to Logan Square in the early evening and try an Italian ice while you walk around. Then start your night at Fat Willy's Rib Shack so you can build a good base for all the drinking ahead. Afterward, either drive or take a cab to Weegee's - it's in the middle of nowhere in a kind-of rough neighborhood, so you might as well start there early if you're prepared to go that far. From there, go to hipster haunts The Burlington and Whirlaway, and end your night at Rocking Horse with some pub food. After Rocking Horse, make a run to La Pasadita for late-night tacos before heading home.

In the morning, get your name on the list at Lula for brunch, then have some coffee at New Wave while you wait. You'll probably need it after all that drinking. After brunch, do a little shopping at Wolfbait and explore the neighborhood a little before getting an early dinner at Fonda del Mar.
