Kuala Lumpur Budget Holiday

Malaysia is a budget traveler's paradise. A budget trip to Kuala Lumpur can be very rewarding in every sense. The city offers cheap accommodation and great international cuisine. If you're coming for shopping, there is a Mega Sale every March, August and December.

The sights are Kuala Lumpur budget travel secrets. Head to the Petronas Towers Skywalk - there is a bridge connecting the two towers - for excellent views over the city, absolutely free! The city combines old with new and cutting edge design - fabulous colonial era buildings stand a block away from towers and malls. Be sure to check out the Old Railway station, the Sultan Abdul Samat Building and the Merdaka Square for examples of Moorish architecture.

Kuala Lumpur has very affordable accommodation. Nova, Allson Genesis, and China Town Inn being the most popular low budget hotels.

Eating out in Kuala Lumpur is easy, with low budget options on every street corner in the form of food stalls and eateries. Here you can try some of the best local cuisine, and most of the food is fresh and cooked in front of the customers. Chinatown, Petaling Street, and Bukit Bitang are great places to head to for street food.

For a short excursion on your Kuala Lumpur budget trip, try a visit to the Batu Caves, only about half an hour taxi ride outside the city.
