Papaïchton travel guide

Papaïchton (the official spelling is Papaichton, but the spelling with a trema is the most frequent) is a French commune in the overseas région and département of French Guiana. The village lies on the shores of the rver Maroni, which used to be the only way to access the village.
The village which is the seat of the commune was named Papaïchton-Pompidouville in honour of the president Pompidou.
