Suduroy is the southernmost of the island in the Faroes. It is a very beautiful and peaceful island. You travel to Suduroy with the ferry Smyril M/S from Torshavn to Krambatangi near Tvoroyri. If you travel by car you can come around in most of the island and see some spectacular views. The west coast of Suduroy concists mostly of vertical cliffs. You can watch these cliffs from several places, which are easy to reach by car of by walking. The highest vertical cliff is called Beinisvord and is situated between the villages Sumba and Lopra in the southern part of the island. Beinisvord is 469 m high. The villages are from north to south: Sandvik, Hvalba, Trongisvagur, Tvoroyri, Frodba, Oravik, Famjin, Hov, Porkeri, Vagur, Lopra, Akrar, Vikarbyrgi, Sumba, Akraberg. Nobody lives anymore in Vikarbyrgi and Akraberg.
