Stóra Dímun is a small island in the southern Faroe Islands. It is situated noth of the even smaller Lítli Dímun (Small Dimun) and Skúvoy. Only two families live on Stóri Dímun, in august 2009 that was 9 people. Stóra Dímun has regular helicopter service two times weekly. Sometimes during summertime excursions are made to Stóri Dímun from the island Sandoy or from the southernmost island Suðuroy (South Island).
