Luanda is a city which was designed for 250.000 and has now 4-5 million habitants. The civil war from independance 1975 until 2002 left his marks. Nothing has been done for the infratsructure of the city. As a result Luanda is absolutely overcrowded by people and cars, most of the infratsructure rotten and still very dirty. A lot of reconstruction work lies ahead of Luanda. Fortunately money is no matter as Angola has a lot of oil. If the government continues its plans of reconstruction Luanda could be a beautiful and modern city within the next 10 years.
