Jędrzejów is a town in Poland. Located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, about 35 km southwest of Kielce, it is the capital of Jędrzejów County. It has 18,069 inhabitants (2002).
Jędrzejów was founded near the 12th century Cistercian monastery, which is known as the Blessed Wincenty Kadłubek Church; the town also has another dating to that period, the St. Trinity Church. The town is also famous for its clock museum (the Przypkowscy Clock Museum).
Close to Jędrzejów Dworzec PKP (the standard-gauge railway station) is the narrow-gauge station where a 750mm-gauge line (Świętokrzyska Kolej Dojazdowa) runs to Pińczów (part of a once extensive network of narrow-gauge railways in the region). There used to be an interchange with the standard-gauge line, and there are still remains of a turning triangle in the yards of both stations.
Jędrzejów has one hotel which doubles as student accommodation. (...) more....
