The former residence of Malaysia’s revered second prime minister, the late Tun Abdul Razak, whose great, great, great, great, great grandfather, Sultan Abdullah of Kedah, ceded Penang to the British. In recognition of his services – he is popularly known as the father of Malaysia’s development – his old home has been turned into a memorial with the aim of preserving his documents, speeches, books and awards, as well as housing his collection of walking sticks and pipes.
