Havelock North is a very pleasant little village nestled amongst vineyards and orchards towards the coast and in the shadow of the 399-m Te Mata Peak. The view from the summit of Te Mata on a clear day is a ‘must see’ and it is easily reached by car via the village and Te Mata Peak Road. Weather permitting, it is also a popular spot for paragliding.
