Sydneysiders are very fond of the Sydney (Centrepoint) Tower. This slightly dated landmark, built in 1981, has a distinctive 2239-tonne golden turret. The view from one of Australia’s highest buildings is mighty impressive. As well as enjoying the stunning vistas from the tower’s observation deck, you can also experience a virtual ‘Great Australian Expedition’ tour or dine in one of two revolving restaurants. The more adventurous can even brave outdoors and experience Skywalk. Given the high price of entry to the observation deck alone, make sure that you keep an eye on the weather forecast and pick a clear day.
