Getting there

Port Macquarie is 10 km east of the Pacific Highway along the Oxley Highway. The airport is 3 km away. Long-distance buses serve the town and there is a train station 18 km away with connecting buses to the town centre.

To access the eastern beaches jump on Nos 334, 332 or 324. Long-distance buses stop at the bus terminal on Hayward St.

Busways, 6 Denham St, T1300 555611, http://www.busways.com.au, runs both local and regional bus services between Sydney and Yamba.

Greyhound, T1300 473946, offers daily state-wide services. Keans Coaches, T65431322 (T1800 043339), runs a service from Port Macquarie to Scone (via the Waterfall Way, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Armidale and Tamworth) on Tue, Thu and Sun. Premier Motor Service has a booking office at the terminal, T6583 1488, T133410. Mon-Fri 0830-1700, Sat 0830-1200.

Train

The nearest train station is at Wauchope, 19 km west of the city, T132232. The connecting bus to Port Macquarie is included in the fare.
