Zagora

Zagora is the main town at the southern end of the Draâ Valley and the best place to overnight before heading off into the desert. In the 1990s, the town woke up to tourism. The arrival of 4WD vehicles and the improvement of the N9 road have allowed an influx of visitors. In the space of a decade, the desert settlement founded by an Arab tribe in the 13th century has been transformed out of all recognition.
