Cycle
All bicycles must be registered at the Traffic Licensing Office in Road Town and the licence plate must be fixed to the bicycle, cost US$5. Last Stop Sports, T4940564, http://www.laststopsports.com, at Port Purcell, Road Town, T4941120, open Mon-Fri 0900-1700, Sat 0900-1500. Rents and repairs bikes. Mountain bikes US$30 per day, dual suspension or road bikes US$40 per day, cheaper for longer terms. All bikes come with a helmet (which is mandatory), lock, pump, water bottle and a seat pack (with tube, levers, patch kit). Mountain bikes are the best bet for touring the island, with a wide gear selection and powerful brakes for getting up and down the hills on rough terrain.
Taxi
Road Town, T4942322; on Beef Island, T4952378. Taxis are easy to come by and fares are fixed, ask for a list or get one from the tourist office. The fare from Beef Island Airport to Road Town is US$15 or US$8 if shared.
