A booklet for Bearnaraigh, Visit Berneray is available from Lochmaddy TIC. It describes all of the key places of interest, including the 16th-century gunnery at Baile, the beaches and machair of the north and west coasts, and archaeological sites dating from the Viking period near Borgh. It also highlights a lovely 7.5-mile-long circular walk. Berneray Week (late July) is a busy week with several ceilidhs held in the community hall and attracting visitors from far afield – including Gaelic speaking Germans!
