Gairloch consists of a string of tiny crofting townships scattered around the northeastern shore of the loch of the same name. It’s a beautiful place, attracting a large number of visitors who come for the many sandy beaches, excellent walks, golf and fishing, and the chance of seeing seals, porpoises, dolphins and whales in the surrounding waters.

Bus
From Jun-Oct there’s a daily bus to Inverness with Scotbus, T01463-224410. The bus leaves Inverewe daily at 1020, 1430 and 1750 respectively, with the first 2 buses terminating at Achnasheen station in time to connect with the FirstScotRail train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh.
Westerbus, T01445-712255, also run a service from Gairloch (0745) to Inverness (1025), Mon, Wed and Sat via Mellon Charles/Aultbea (0820), Laide (0835), Dundonnell (0850), Braemore Junction (for connections to Ullapool), and Strath- peffer (0952). The same bus company also run a service, Tue, Thu and Fri, between Laide (0745) and Inverness (1025) with stops including Poolewe (0805) and Loch Maree.Are you a business owner?
