Air
The airport is 15 mins’ walk from the centre, US$7 by taxi. Avior (T331 2867) flies to Caracas, Porlamar, Barcelona and connections to other cities.
Bus
To Caracas, US$18-21, 9 hrs, Rodovías directly into central Caracas close to Metro Colegio de Ingenieros, US$25-27.50. Most other buses only go as far as Terminal de Oriente. To Maracay, Valencia, US$28, 10 hrs. For other destinations such as Cumaná, US$5, 2 hrs, Puerto La Cruz, US$10, 4 hrs (Mochima/Santa Fé), Güiria, US$7.20, 3 hrs por puestos are a better option. They run more frequently and make fewer stops.
