What can you say about the most idyllic coastline in Uruguay? Firstly that the Punta del Diablo has a killer surf, is so far removed from the mayhem of Punta del Este that it could be on another planet and is growing idly into one of the places to head to kick back and while away a week or two on the Uruguayan riviera.
At 298km from Montevideo you can get here in a few hours and make the most of a long weekend wandering the dunes, did I mention surf, hike in the Santa Teresa National Park and discover the other sites of interest about here - the Karumbe Conservation Project, the Castillo Santa Teresa and the Laguna Negra.
