Air
MAS, Firefly and Air Asia fly into Senai, JB’s airport, 20 km north of the city. There are shuttle buses every half an hour from City Lounge in the Central Bus Terminal, Kotaraya every half an hour (40 mins, RM8). Taxis also run from JB to Senai. Regular connections with KL, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri and Penang. Air Asia also flies direct to Bangkok, Jakarta and Surabaya.

Boat
JB’s ferry terminal to the east of the causeway operates ferry services to Tanjung Belungkor. Bumboats leave from various points along Johor’s coastline for Singapore; most go to Changi Point (Changi Village), where there is an immigration and customs post. The boats run 0700-1600 and depart when full (12 passengers). There is a passenger ferry from Tanjung Belungkor (JB) to Changi Ferry Terminal 3 times a day, T06-5323 6088. JB’s ferry terminal has connections with Batam (Indonesia).
Bus
Local buses leave from the main bus terminal on Jl Wong Ah Fook.
There are a number of services running to Singapore. Useful buses include Causeway Link CW1 linking Larkin and Kotaraya with Kranji MRT (RM1.20) and SBS 170 from Larkin to Queen Street via Kranji MRT (RM1.90). Passengers need to disembark at both customs posts with all their luggage.
The Larkin bus terminal is 4 km north of town. Book tickets at agents opposite railway station on Jl Tun Abdul Razak or it’s cheaper at the station itself. Regular connections with Melaka, KL (RM31), Lumut, Ipoh (RM50), Butterworth (RM70), Mersing (RM10.20), Kuantan (RM26) and Alor Star (RM55).
Car hire
It is cheaper to hire a car in JB than in Singapore, but check if you are allowed to drive into Singapore. Taxi
The main taxi station is attached to the Larkin bus terminal 4 km north of town. Taxis to KL, Melaka, Mersing and Kuantan.

The station is on Jl Campbell, near the causeway, off Jl Tun Abdul Razak. Regular connections with KL and destinations on the west coast, see
