Only accessible by 4WD, this is an ideal place to camp in the Namib. The surrounding area has some interesting hikes, although the heat means that early morning and late afternoon are the best times to do this. After good summer rains the nearby dam, an unusual site in the middle of the desert, is full of water and attracts game and bird life. To get here, turn north off the C28 from Swakopmund to Windhoek, or north on the small track leading from Ganab.
