Ins and outs
Getting to and from Kitale is relatively easy as it is on the A1 heading for Kakamega and Kisumu in the south, and is the main route to Lake Turkana in the north. There are regular buses and matatus. In Kitale there are various bus stands and matatu stops at the western end of the road to Mount Elgon. An Akamba Bus stand is on the corner of Moi Avenue and Bank Street. The road north is reasonable until Marich Pass and then rapidly deteriorates on the route to Lake Turkana.Bank
The main banks Barclay’s and Standard Chartered are pretty close to Bank St.
