Islamic Ceramics Museum

The palace of Prince Amr Ibrahim is a cool, marbled haven and provides a beautiful home for exquisite ceramics dating from the seventh century to the modern day. The soft tints, hues and glazes bring out the designs on vessels and dishes collected from countries stretching from Morocco to Persia. The garden contains some pieces of sculpture, while in the basement there’s an art gallery (free) that has interesting displays by contemporary Egyptian artists.
