Port of Spain

Port of Spain lies on a gently sloping plain between the Gulf of Paria and the foothills of the Northern Range. It is a busy port city with constant coming and going of shipping as well as being an important financial centre and business hub. All the multicultural aspects of Trinidad can be found here, it is full of life and an exciting city. Restaurants abound for every conceivable cuisine, the capital is renowned for its delicious food, while at night the clubs and bars offer a variety of music going on into the early hours. A little of the fretwork wooden architecture remains among the modern concrete and office towers; many of the main buildings of interest are within easy reach of the port.
