South of the Panoramic Route between Sabana Grande and Yauco on Route 371 is the Bosque Estatal de Susua, a dry forest with recreational areas, a river, 40 tent sites and showers . As it approaches Adjuntas and the transinsular Route 10 (now the 123), the Panoramic Route goes through the Bosque de Guilarte, again with fine views, flowering trees, bougainvillaea, banks of impatiens (busy lizzie, miramelinda in Spanish), and bird song (if you stop to listen).
