There are two airline offices in David: Air Panama, Av 2 Este and Calle D Norte, which flies 2-3 times daily to Panama City; and Aeroperlas, Calle Central, between Av 2 Este and Av 3 Este, which flies 2-3 times daily to Panama City and 3-5 times a week to Bocas del Toro, depending on the season. To Panama City, US$104; to Bocas del Toro, US$65. Daily service to San José, Costa Rica, US$110, one way.

Long distance
The main bus terminal is at Av 2 Este, 1 block north of Av Obaldía. Taxi to centre US$1. All companies use this except Padafront, whose terminal is nearby at Av 2 Este y Av Obaldía, T775-8913.
To Panama City regular buses US$10.60, express US$15, 3 hrs, 10 daily with Padafront. To Paso Canoas (border with Costa Rica), US$1.50, 1½ hrs, every 15 mins 0500-1830. Direct to San José with Tracopa, 0830 daily, US$12, 8 hrs, with stop in San Isidro.
Regular buses go to Boquete every 25 mins, 0600-2145, 1 hr, US$1.20; Volcán, every 15 mins, 0700-1800, 1½ hrs, US$2.30; Chiriquí Grande, every 90 mins, 0630-1600, 3 hrs, US$7; buses to Almirante every 40 mins, 0500- 1900, 4 hrs, US$8; Cerro Punto, 2¼ hrs, US$3.
