Cotacachi

The Casa de las Culturas , a beautifully refurbished building, is a monument to peace in which wide open spaces are joined by ramps, representing the lack of barriers between the various ethnic and cultural groups which make up the Cantón Cotacachi: indígenas, highland and lowland mestizos and blacks. Decorations include a few original Guayasamín paintings and ancient ceramics. It houses a library, internet café, the tourist information office, and temporary exhibits. Musical and artistic presentations are also held here.
