La Tirana is a Chilean town in the commune of Pozo Almonte in Iquique Province, Tarapacá Region. The town lies in an oasis in the middle of the Pampa del Tamarugal, about 72 km inland from the port of Iquique.

In ordinary times, buses from Iquique to Pica stop here; during the festival, virtually every taxi and colectivo in Iquique seems to be heading for La Tirana, leaving from Sargento Aldea by the market; some bus companies also have services from Antofagasta and Arica.
