Operators include TurBus, Merced 561, and Pullman Bus, opposite. Next door is Vallenar’s bus terminal, from which TasChoapa and Flota Barrios depart. To Arica, 19 hrs, US$36-54; to Iquique, 15 hrs, US$33-$49; to San Pedro de Atacama, 14 hrs, US$27-51; to Antofagasta, 9 hrs, US$21-36; to Copiapó, 2 hrs, US$6; to Chañaral, 4 hrs,US$8; to La Serena, 2 hrs, US$6; to Valparaíso, 11 hrs, US$20; to Santiago, 10 hrs, US$20-49.

Buses to Junta de Valeriano (Tránsito Valley) and San Félix (Carmen Valley), as well as the intermediate points such as Alto del Carmen, leave from Marañon 1289, at 0730, 1100, 1430, 1630, 1730. TurBus runs a daily service between Huasco and Santiago.

There are also colectivos in Vallenar, which may be useful for those with heavy luggage making their way to the bus terminals (catch them on Serrano). Colectivo to Huasco leave when full, 1 hr 20 mins, US$3.50.
