Getting there
Rancagua is accessible by bus and train from Santiago (both hourly). There are also connections to the towns further south, especially Talca, Chillán, Concepción, Temuco and Puerto Montt (several daily).

Bus
Main terminal in Rancagua is at Doctor Salinas y Calvo just north of the market but most buses for Santiago leave from the TurBus terminal at Calvo y O’Carrol. Many services from further south stop on the Pan-American Highway, 2 km outside town.
Local
There are too many local buses to list here, but destinations include Lago Rapel with Sextur, T072-231342, or Galbus T072-230640, every 20 mins, US$3; Pichilemu, US$5 one-way, many companies; and Termas Del Flaco, US$20 return with Buses Amistad, T072-229358, booking required 2 days in advance.

Frequent services to Santiago, 1¼ hrs, US$5. To Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, TurBus, US$9. To Talca, 3 hrs, US$6. To Chillán, 5 hrs, US$10. To Concepción, 5hrs, US$12. To Temuco, 9 hrs, US$15-25. To Valdivia, 10 hrs, US$16. To Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt, 12 hrs, US$20-32.
