Bus

Catisa or Tupsa lines from San Pedro Sula to El Progreso (US$0.50) where you must change to go on to Tela (3 hrs in total) and La Ceiba (last bus at 1900). On Catisa bus ask to be let off at the petrol station on the main road, then take a taxi to the beach, US$0.50. Also 1st-class service with Hedman Alas at 1010, 1415 and 1810.

Bus from Tela to El Progreso every 30 mins, US$1.50. To La Ceiba, every 30 mins, from 0410 until 1800, 2 hrs, US$2. Direct to Tegucigalpa, Traliasa, 1 a day from Hotel Los Arcos, US$4.50, same bus to La Ceiba (this service avoids San Pedro Sula). To Copán, leave by 0700 via El Progreso and San Pedro Sula to arrive same day. To Trujillo through Savá, Tocoa and Corocito.
