South of Orosí travel guide

A short distance south of Orosí the road splits, the left fork crosses the Río Orosí to the Río Palomo. The right fork leads towards Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte National Park some 9 km from the main road and a number of interesting local sights en route. Monte Sky is a private reserve covering 536 ha and bordering the national park. Over 590 bird species have been counted to date and the number is growing .
