(To reach Parismina, take a ferry from Moín . If you have booked accommodation, the lodge will arrange transport.)
Perched at the mouth of the Río Parismina, the small riverside hamlet of Parismina is just a passing glance for boats heading north to Tortuguero. The Parismina picks up the Reventazón and many other tributaries flowing off the slopes of Turrialba Volcano on its steady eastward journey to the Caribbean.
While Parismina is close to the southern limits of Tortuguero National Park, the riverside hamlet prefers to concentrate its energies on its reputation as one of the best places in the world to fish for tarpon and snook.
