Rain Forest Aerial Tramway amid the treetops
A regional transport hub for travel to the network of banana plantations to the north, Guápiles (district population 19,686) is a lively centre but with little of specific interest for the visitor. The most budget-minded travellers stop here en route to Cariari, then take the GEEST Casa Verde or the La Pavona bus from where a regular morning boat makes the journey to Tortuguero village.
