After Florida, the road winds down then up through Buenos Aires to a cultivated zone around the villages of La Esperanza, El Progreso and Oso Perdido. A further forested descent leads to the town of Nuevo Cajamarca, 152 km east of Pedro Ruiz. There is a market and accommodation on the main road ($ Continental is the best).
