The main artesanía market, is at the entrance to Huanchaco at the southern end of the beach and is divided into handicraft stalls and a food section. Some stalls also on the seafront adjoining the Municipalidad, El Erizo, Av Larco 735, and Takaynamo, Av Larco 620. Artesanías del Norte, Los Olivos 504, 044-461220, marycortijo@usa.net (also at Huaca del Sol and de la Luna visitors centre). Sells mostly items of her own design, using pre-Hispanic methods and motifs, primarily ceramics, but also cotton and alpaca goods and hand-painted products in wood. Food in the shops is a bit more expensive than Trujillo. There is a small fresh food market on Pilcomayo, half block from Deán Saavedra.
