Mieders summer toboggan run

Surrounded by the villages of Mieders, Fulpmes, Schönberg and Matrei lies a wonder and magical hiking and recreational landscape. However, the best thing about it is the coolest roller coaster for miles around. In front of the impressive mountain backdrop of the majestic Serles, it runs along a route of 2.8 kilometres on the steepest summer tobogganing run in the Alps to quickly overcome the 640 metre difference in elevation. The top speed reached is 42 km/h. 40 steep curves provide a really special kick. The course of the tract, which exploits every twist in the landscape, imparts the breathtaking feeling of flying just above the ground.

The ascent: comfortable and easy!
The ride up the mountain to the start of the summer toboggan run at 1,620 metres is enjoyable: The ultra-modern number 8 cable car of the Serles cables cars at Mieders bring guests to the Koppeneck in comfort. The best thing is to buy a block of three rides straight away, because the high-speed rush of the summer toboggan will want repeating. For those who would prefer the descent by bike: from the top station at Koppeneck there are great mountain bike tracks via Gleins to Schönberg or via Maria Waldrast to Matrei. And everyone who wants to go about things in greater comfort can ride the new slow train from the top station at Koppeneck to Maria Waldrast, the Stubai Alpine Express (every Tu, Th, Sa, Su from June), or discover the wonderful hiking area around the Serles on foot.
