Built in a former Nabisco factory, Chelsea Market is a behemoth of food, food and more food. It's actually a 22-building complex that fills two entire city blocks - it also houses The Food Network, EMI Music Publishing, and Google. Though the food can be a bit expensive ($8-12 for a sandwich or entree), it's still cheaper than anything else in the area and the variety is unbeatable. Try Buon Italia if you are looking for a picnic lunch to take on the Highline, Amy's Bread for sandwiches, Fatwich Bakery for sweets, and 9th St. Espresso for a good cup o' joe.
