Sandoy is one of the islands in the Faroe Islands. Sandoy is situated in the southern part of the country, south of Streymoy and north of the smaller islands Skúvoy, Stóra and Lítla Dímun. Further south is Suðuroy, the southernmost island. The main village of Sandoy is called Sandur. The second largest village is called Skopun. There are three small villages on the east coast, and they are called Húsavík, Skálavík and Dalur. Skarvanes is the smallest village on Sandoy. There are two museums in Sandur, one of them is an art museum.
