San Marino is situated on the 745 m high Monte Titano, which is capped by three castles to which the Salita alla Rocca steps lead. All three castles are connected to one another by a defensive walkway. The capital San Marino with the lively Piazza della Libertà lies on the western flank of Titano.
San Marino is a republic delighted as you visit in summer or winter, you always have something to show, despite being so small. Ideal for those who want to shop, for lovers of history and medieval or for people who enjoy those places where the legends merge with reality. San Marino boasts a dozen museums, some of them very interesting, as the wax museum, of curiosity, or torture. However, the castle deserves a special visit, especially if we dare to cross the wall that connects both towers.
