Alfred Park Accommodation was built in 1848 for a Whaling Boat Captain and his 14 children! Today, the building caters for travellers who want excellent accommodation at budget prices. Oh! And don't be fooled by the Heritage Fascade .... wait 'til you see the more modern "Motel Style" block at the rear, the Courtyard , the Car Park and the old "Dungeon" for a bit of fun! All our rooms are large, comfortable and bright, some with views across beautiful Prince Alfred Park with the City of Sydney as the back-drop. In fact, we have now renovated more than 50% of the total rooms over the past 6 months. Whether you are looking for basic dormitory style accommodation or private rooms with all the modern luxuries, we can provide just what you want. All rooms, including the dorms, have colour TV, fridge, fan and wash basin and now all private and most dorms are Air Conditioned (not many hostels can boast this). In fact more than half our rooms have ensuite bathrooms too! At the Alfred , we can offer two separate courtyards (undercover and heated), a huge, well equiped guest kitchen, cosy lounge and plenty of off-street parking too. The BBQ area is great for socialising or just cooking up a storm! We are even rehabilitating the original basement for games, TV and lounge. The laundry is fully equiped with modern washing machines and dryers.

FREE Airport Transfers: We provide FREE AIRPORT pick up when staying more than 3 "bed nights". This can be 1 guest for 3 nights or 3 guests for 1 night. We do charge a small fee for airport drop-off but we are guaranteed cheaper than all other transport services!
