Capital city of Abkhazia
Sukhumi is noted for its mineral water spas, beautiful coastline and beaches, as well as a port and train terminal. Sukhumi suffered a lot during the conflicts with Russia in the 1990's. It is a quaint city of the Black Sea Coast with a population of about 50,000 permanent residents.
