In the region the torrential rivers are the main way to travel around, they divide, like branches, in smaller rivers and streams. Depending on the season they frame beautiful white sand fluvial beaches. The region is perfect for trekking, animals and bird watching and for all nature’s lovers. It is a must-see destiny.
Manaus is the Amazon State capital. It is a pleasant city and the departure point for the main rides.
The Amazon Ecopark Lodge is located by the Rio Tarumã’s riverside, a tributary from Rio Negro (Black River), in the middle of the Amazon jungle, just about 30 min. from Manaus by boat. It is a jungle hotel with 20 rustic bungalows distributed around the forest area, with a typical region design, bathrooms with electrical shower, vents and air-conditioning in all rooms, this allows the visitor to experience nature with comfort.
•Water Encounter: A ride to the splendid water encounter between the see-through Rio Tapajós (Tapajós River) and the muddy Rio Amazonas (Amazon River), that, given the different density and velocity of the current, flow side by side without mixing. In the rain season we can watch the magnificent Vitória Régia (Regina’s Victory), one of the largest water plants in the world. In the dry season the alligators warm-up by the side of the watercourse.
