La Tortuga is a delightful hotel where guests are made to feel at home thanks to the personal attention and family atmosphere here. Located only 200 meters from the beach and an equal distance from town, this hotel boasts 10 semi-detached bungalows suitable for 2 to 5 guests. With the luxuriant tropical garden as the center piece each bungalow has a ground floor with double bed, bathroom, 110/220 volt electricity supply and private terrace while the second floor accommodates three single beds. All bungalows have air conditioning, 2 ceiling fans, refrigerator and Wi-Fi. A haven of peace only a few steps away from the night-life, restaurants, banks, shops and dreamy beaches. A full program of ecological excursions is also available. Quad-bikes, fishing, sailing, scuba-diving, kite-surfing, dancing, massages and a visit to the local Turkish bath are among the many other activities available to complement your stay at Hotel La Tortuga.

The lush tropical garden invites you to sit back and relax surrounded by impressive trees such as coconut trees and the native royal palm as well as a variety of euphorbia, colorful flowering shrubs, banana trees and a whole range of palm trees, all home and feeding ground to humming birds, woodpeckers and butterflies. All bungalows have direct access to the garden and attractive swimming pool with bar and restaurant facilities for the exclusive use of the guests. Feel free to catch the sun or just laze in the shade or go for a refreshing dip as if you were in a tropical river, with a delicious fruit juice or exotic cocktail to hand!

Being so close to the town center and beaches means getting about on foot is easy. Although we are only a short distance from the “Fishermens´ Village”, the hub of Las Terrenas offering a great variety in restaurants and bars, peace and tranquility are the distinguishing characteristics of Hotel La Tortuga.
With temperatures ranging from 25º to 30º and the temperature of the sea ranging between 24º to 28º the beautiful white beaches with incredible backdrops of coconut groves and protected by coral reefs lend themselves to all sorts of aquatic activities all year round.
