Intimate in scale and not a bad seat in the house. I visited The Rrazz Room this week with friends and enjoyed Paula West's soulful sounds and great arrangements by pianist and arranger George Mesterhazy. This classic caberet singer did wonders with songs from Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart to Bob Dylan and others - - it was magical. Great sound quality in this space - - get there early and ask for one of the few small booths.

New (ish) venue at the Hotel Nikko, the Razz Room is cozy and has great acoustics to take advantage of the world class entertainers who perform there. Last night we saw a performance by Paula West, a wonderful singer with a voice to leave one inspired and daydreaming about life's wonderful simplicity and possibilities. Her band was jamming away...great fun!

Last night was the first time I made it to the Razz Room - which is actually only a few blocks away from my SOMA home. I loved the performance of Paula West & The George Mesterhazy Quartet - and the acoustics & sound in the room were amazing! Will keep an eye on their program for future visits!
