Ballyshannon

Steep, narrow streets containing a number of Georgian houses wind their way through the town, which is dominated by the tower of St Anne's Church, and give the impression of a medieval market town. Ballyshannon is in fact said to be the oldest town in Ireland, with a town charter dating from 1613.
