The Central African Republic is a poor country, that has a hard time controlling it's own borders, since it is in the middle of a lot of countries undergoing their own civil wars. The East borders Sudan, so many refugees flee and try enter this region. There have been difficulties along this border - they would like to allow refugees, but when refugees enter, so do many militants!

The United Nations has a strong influence in this region, due to its instability.
