Bangladesh has reason to be proud of its rich ancient heritage. At once this was a rich and developed region. Many travelers express their impressions glorifying these places.Paharpur ( Stupas)-where the remains of the most important and the largest known monastery, south of the Himalayas has been excavated. This 8th century A.D. archaeological find covers an area of 27 acres of land.Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
The excavated findings have also been preserved at the Varendra Research Museum at Rajshahi. Natore rajbari’s is countries finest palace with high walls boundary.
Mahasthangarh-is the oldest archaeological site and earliest City of Bangladesh during 3rd century B. C.
(Temples City) Puthia has old Hindu structures in Bangladesh among them- Shiva temple and Govinda temple is famous. There is also attractive King palace ( Rajbari )
Kantajee’s Temple is in the Dinajpur District near Shibgong. It was built by Maharaja Pran Nath in 1752. (Terracotta) Kantajee’s Temple is considered to be the Most spectacular terra cotta Monument of Bangladesh.
(Mosque city)Gaud is the border place with India. There are many ancient Mosques. Most of them were built during the rule of the Muslim Sultanate of the Ilyas Shahi period. Many of those Mosques bear rich example of Architechure. Among them:
Chota Sona Mosque, Darasbari Mosque, Kushumba , Rajbibi Mosque are famous.

Bogra District (rajshahi division) with an area of 2919.9 sq km, bounded by joypurhat andgaibandha districts on the north, the chalan beel,natore and sirajganj districts on the south, jamunariver and jamalpur district on the east, Part of Chalan Beel, naogaon and Natore districts on the west. Annual average temperature maximum 34.6° C and minimum 11.9° C; annual total rainfall 1610 mm.
Bogra (Town) founded in 1850 consists of 12 wards and 46 mahallas. Bogra municipality was established in 1884. It has an area of 18.85 sq km. The town has a population of 150138; male 52.37%, female 47.63%. Literacy rate among the town people is 63%. Bogra is known as the industrial city of the North Bengal. Constructions of the bangabandhu jamuna multipurpose bridge had enhanced all kinds of trade and commerce in Bogra. The town is famous for its cultural activities.
