San Sebastian Playa Hotel Sitges travel guide

Hotel San Sebastian Playa is a white seafront hotel overlooking San Sebastian beach by Sitges old town, 500 metres from the lively main promenade and town centre. Built in 1991, it has Moorish style design with large archways and curved balconies. The 48 air-conditioned, modern guestrooms have cool white décor with bright fabrics and classical style furniture. All feature balconies, and are equipped with wi-fi, digital satellite television, bathrobes, hairdryers, safes and minibars. <BR> Overlooking the pool and tropical garden with sea views, the restaurant serves fine Catalonian seafood specialities such as Rice Soup with Lobster. The vibrant resort of Sitges offers four kilometres of sandy beaches as well as many fashionable boutiques, bars and restaurants, and plays host to numerous festivals throughout the year, the most famous being Carnival in February. Guests can wander the pretty winding streets of the old town and visit the town's museums, 50 metres from the hotel, while further afield, the city's of Barcelona and Tarragona can be found within 60 kilometres. The nearest airport is Barcelona Airport, an approximate 30 minutes drive at a distance of 30 kilometres. The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to Barcelona city centre every 30 minutes. Take the train one stop to El Prat de Llobregat station and change to Line 2 (direction St. V. de Calders). Sitges train station is 400 metres from the hotel. The MonBus service from the air port to Sitges runs approximately every two hours. Taxis are also available in front of the airport terminals and will cost €40-60.
