Hotel Features. The Hotel Max was built in the 1920s by lumber magnate Joseph Vance, and was completely renovated in 2005. The lobby's red -lacquer and black décor sets an artistic tone for the guestroom hallways th at double as photographic art galleries. The Red Fin restaurant serves Asian -fusion cuisine, sakes and creative cocktails. A 24-hour, complimentary busi ness center houses two computer stations. Wireless Internet access is availa ble in the lobby for a fee. The hotel's 24-hour, complimentary fitness room contains television-mounted cardiovascular machines and free weights.
